I just wanted to take this opportunity to say a big thank you to everyone involved in helping us deliver the first routeone Awards at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
This evening was an overwhelming success and the feedback we have received has been very positive. The Monarch and Warwick suites are perfectly suited to our event requirements but more importantly, was the level of service we received from everyone involved. Nothing was too much trouble and the team were always on hand to deal with any eventuality; always courteous and helpful and an absolute pleasure to work with.
Please pass on my appreciation and good wishes to all involved on the night as everyone’s contribution was integral to the success of the evening.
Therefore, my thanks again and I look forward to working with you in the near future!
Just a quick message to say a big thank you to Hilton Birmingham Metropole for a successful show yesterday. All of the hotel staff in all areas were excellent and problems were quickly rectified. Everyone was very efficient and friendly throughout the day and we appreciate their professional approach.
Although everyone was great, a special thanks has to go to Melissa (I really hope I have got her name right, I am terrible with names!!!) who was our receptionist for the day. She was wonderful – professional, well-presented, smiling and pleasant 100% of the time, marvellous with the attendees, immediately sorting out any issues, friendly and pleasant to everyone, efficient and totally unflappable – in short, perfect! I honestly don’t think we could have managed without her. Please give her our special thanks and we are sure she will go far in her career.
The feedback so far from delegates has been very positive and if we get any comments specific relating to the hotel we’ll pass these on.
Hopefully we’ll be able to work with you again!

I would particulary like to single out Caroline as someone who went above and beyond, she was calm, organised and dedicated, I have a huge amount of respect for her and the job she does...
First of all, I personally wanted to thank you and your team for the fantastic support and service you all gave in the run up to our event and during the day. I have been really impressed by the level of service given and have truly enjoyed working with your team on helping organise our national business competition. Every contact I have spoken to in the events team and room reservations, has always been extremely helpful and pro-active in answering any queries we’ve had.
Although there were issues on the day with the weather conditions (heavy flooding!), everyone was extremely accommodating and kept us aware of the situation. We may have had a few students get lost around the hotel, but there was always someone around to point them in the right direction! I’d equally like to point out that Izzy did a fab job in keeping everyone in line and handled the situation brilliantly.
For our celebration dinner in the evening, the service itself was completely flawless. All staff were so hardworking and all food/drink came out at exactly the correct time. The food itself was delicious, so hats off to the chefs who created such a lovely dinner for so many people. After the dinner, again the supporting staff were very quick in turning around the clear-up process. There was also lots of people on hand to deal with any queries we had.
With regard to the National Tax Conference at the Metropole on the evening of Wednesday 27 June, I have to say it was absolutely brilliant once again. We were very well looked after by all your team – the drinks reception went well, and dinner was served in good time. Our awards ceremony went without a hitch.
We would like to thank you and your team for the part you all played in the successful running of our 2012 Virgin Media Business Conference on the 3rd May 2012. The feedback from so many delegates was that it was an excellent venue and you and your team were paramount in making it run so smoothly for them.
All of the hotel staff were brilliant and please extend our gratitude to them all. Having said that, there are some individuals that personally stood out and we feel that this should not go unnoticed.
Both Jonathon and Lisa were very helpful after the process of winning this business as of course our client had secured the venue direct. However, during the planning process both understood the budget constraints for this particular event and worked with us to ensure we secured the additional requirements at the best rates for our client.
Further to the above, a very special thank you to Lisa who continuously received constant emails in relation to this event, but was always more than helpful and willing to assist straight away.
A huge thanks to Izzy and her team as well. Izzy was an absolute star on the day of the event and also the day prior during set-up and rehearsals, which was a huge support to us at Venues Event Management. She was never more than a phone call away and was always on top of everything before we’d even asked. A huge thank you to her team as well as we wouldn’t have got everything done with turnarounds and lunch service without them. Service was excellent and nothing was ever too much trouble and all of them were very friend.
At this point we must mention the food – it was simply amazing!! We had mass amounts of food that was to be provided during the day of the event, so please pass our gratitude to the head chef and his team for working with our clients requests. The food was a huge success, especially the fish and chips!
The teams that looked after us during the lunch and dinner service were fantastic and were more than organised to manage the large group. A very special thank you must go to Balash, he was brilliant and very much looked after us at Venues Event Management as well as managing his team to ensure the smooth service for our guests.
All of the Reception team were very approachable and helpful during the check-in procedure as well as when needing to make any amendments throughout the day. It was very useful to have one member of reception to assist with the Virgin Media Business staff during the registration process and there was plenty of staff available to assist during the key-collection at the end of the day. The members of concierge were also all very helpful as they assisted during the room drop process, which was a huge help to us with the time constraints.
Please also pass our regards onto your Housekeeping team, who often go unnoticed because they are seldom seen. The standards of cleanliness in the public areas, meeting rooms and bedrooms were exceptional and very much appreciated by everybody.
Without hesitation we would recommend your hotel and we will look forward to working with you all again in the future.
Caroline Kelley, Guest Relations Manager... “Simply the Best”. The dedication and hours that she put in to support me and my colleagues during our annual conference. We really appreciated the extra pair of hands, especially in our hour of need. Caroline is a great asset to Hilton Hotels and no doubt appreciate her, as much as we did.
Emma, can I take the opportunity to say a huge thank you, to you and your staff for supporting us to put on a fantastic conference last week.
Our previous experience at other venues is that support takes a big dip once contracts are signed and deposits are received. In your case the professional approach and top customer care was experienced all the way through the process.
We felt you went the extra mile for us and were especially flexible with speakers and delegates who had learning disabilities.
Can you thank all staff including Eva and Gergo who looked after us during the day and evening meal.

The staff were all fabulous. From the bar staff, the breakfast staff, housekeeping and night porters – right across the board, everyone was friendly and couldn’t do enough to help. I don’t know if you have increased your staff training but it is certainly having a very positive effect. So many of my crew came to me independently and commented how fab the hotel had been. You made our job very easy, so thank you!
I am looking forward to working with you again in the summer if not before on other events. I will certainly recommend the Hilton to my other clients.
Thank you for all your support, hard work and commitment towards our Annual Dinner Dance & Awards Evening on Sunday. I thought the whole evening ran very smoothly; one of excellent food, wine and company. From the feedback I have received already, everyone enjoyed the meal and the event very much. I have been going to MAC and now BCF annual dinner dances for years , for me and all my colleagues from Major your dinner stood apart from all the others , it was creative , stylish and very tasty , we all enjoyed the evening like I said your food stood out , well done to you.

Lunch was brilliant - really nice food, great variety and just enough. Room was great too, huge and quiet. Service was excellent, staff were really responsive. Overall - a good venue and perfect for business meetings/stays.
