The local community is at the heart of what we do, we are one of the largest employers within the local area and strive to be an active member of a number of local groups and forums.
We work with the local community to encourage students to find out more about the hospitality industry. Over the past year alone we have held sessions and workshops with over 1200 young people in the Birmingham, Solihull and Warwickshire area.
We support other learning initiatives and local charities within the area through the Hilton in the Community Foundation which aims to raise money in a variety of ways to improve the lives of children, their health and education.

LightStay measures the energy and water use and waste and carbon outputs of our property. The system analyses performance across 200 operational practices, such as housekeeping, paper product usage, food waste, chemical storage, air quality and transportation.
In addition to its function as a measurement and tracking system for properties, LightStay provides a "meeting impact calculator" feature that calculates the impact of any meeting or conference held at Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

Hilton in the Community Foundation is committed to supporting those most in need to have a brighter future. Focusing on children and young people, the Foundation works to improve the quality of education and the provision of health care to relieve suffering and equip individuals.
