Meet the Team

The team here at Hilton Birmingham Metropole comes from a wide variety of backgrounds and has a wide variety of experience. There are those who have worked here for 20 years plus, with a wide knowledge of the product and the business, and there are those who have recently joined us - full of enthusiasm, ambition and looking to try anything new without any of the restrictions of history.

The Sales Team

Sarah Cosgrove, Director of Sales

A local girl from Solihull who has been with the Hilton Birmingham Metropole since 2001. Sarah returns from maternity leave in November 2010.

Sarah is assisted by her team:

The Conference Desk

Jonathon Montgomery, Conference & Events Sales Manager

Jonathan has experience both in Event Management and Sales and has a great understanding of not only the operation but on finding the space in the diary to fit your budget. His assistant, Victoria Hearn has also worked in the operation before running the conference sales office.

The Event Planners

Simon Price, Conference & Events Manager

Once your event is confirmed our Event Planning Team will assist in ensuring every detail is checked and cross checked and that it is communicated to the whole hotel.

Simon previously ran the Conference & Banqueting Operation and knows every nuance of the building. His wide experience over many years is invaluable to the team. His assistant Lisa Clarke has worked in every department in the hotel since starting as a Trainee Manager in 1980.

There is also a team of administrators to assist with billing, queries, ensuring you have all you need and are kept up to date on the detail we are issuing to the hotel team.

The Reservations Team

Rebecca Cruz-Rodriguez, Reservations Manager

The team look after all of your accommodation requirements. . Becky, assisted by Aaron Baker work with their team to assist in any special requirements, ensuring your guests and VIPs are looked after, With the simplest ways of providing rooming lists Becky can ensure that you can view all the details of your group online, 24 hours a day.

The Guest Relations Team

Finally the day of your event has arrived after months of planning, the sales team has made sure we have the right space at the right time, your contract is in place with the conference desk, those final details have been organised with the Event Planners, and the reservations team has every reservation ready for check in.

Now our Guest Relations team are here to meet you, they are your right-hand man during the course of your event. Their mobile telephone number is all you need to assist you and allow you to relax and enjoy your event; they will take care of the most unusual requirements - nothing has fazed them yet.

You need 35, size 10 blonde models by 10.00 am tomorrow? No problem. We can source them with our extensive contact network. problem solved.

Your CEO is delayed by one hour? No problem. We will work with the production company, change your format, save a meal for after the keynote speech and ensure we have a car waiting to pick up your CEO to get them here ASAP from the airport. problem solved.

The VIP guest has just bought a drinks company and you want him to be recognised for that very expensive Vodka, no problem. We will contact our supplier network - it is in his room for arrival.problem solved.

You are tired, hungry and need to empty 50 boxes from your van, no problem. Let us take care of it. problem solved.
