The Hilton Birmingham Metropole is pleased to be the first venue in the UK to offer the latest technology in electronic signage, provided by Morrow Technologies. This signage is available from the moment your delegates step inside this NEC Birmingham hotel. With touch screen technology it is easy to find your event, the room it is taking place in, and directions on the hotel map.
Located outside each meeting room, the signage can be used to promote your company, be that your name, logo or even promotional video.
We can also offer Check In signage, providing a branded and dedicated check in point for your guests at the Hotel Reception.
In addition, there are a number of signs around the hotel that provide directions to your meeting or events room, so your guests can immediately recognise where your event is being held.

Below are the technical requirements for any existing information supplied to the Hotel.
AVI, WMV, MPEG
General rule of thumb, if you can play the file in Windows Media Player we should be able to use it for our screens. The only exception to this rule is DVDs, we do not support them.
EPS, PNG, JPEG
Logos
Logos should be supplied in EPS format where ever possible; if this is not possible a high resolution PNG or JPEG file is acceptable.
A logo saved from a web page would not be suitable for our system; your marketing department will be able to supply either EPS or high resolution logos.
Images
We have three different sized screens with resolutions 1024x768px, 1280x1024px and 1360x768px. Any images which are provided should be of a high enough resolution to accommodate for our largest screens (1360x768px).
PowerPoint presentations should be saved as JPEG images (File->Save as …->Save as Type: JPEG File Interchange Format).
Presentations should not include any animations or sounds as these will not be preserved on our system.
Having invested in the latest technology, we are proud of our hotel’s facilities, but understand that other types of signage may be preferred. We would ask however, that our Signage Policy is taken into consideration.

With this in mind, we have our own internal audio visual department with on site technicians to meet all of your technical requirements.
The department is operational seven days a week, looking after events in all of our 33 meeting and event rooms. We carry a wide range of audio and presentation equipment at competitive hire charges and because we are on site we do not charge for delivery or call out fees and guarantee a speedy response to all requests.

All of our guests should feel safe and secure which is why we operate 24 hour manned security as well as CCTV that covers the bedroom corridors and some public areas. We also provide a secure lock up for deliveries prior to your event, a delivery label can be downloaded here.
We have 600 car parking spaces so you can be sure your guests will be accommodated. Coach parking is available by prior arrangement.
The car park is Park Mark certified which means you can park your car safely and securely.
